The average dog, that is, the dog without diabetic, overweight, underweight, or other serious health issues, can be fed with home-made fresh foods very easily.

These simple recipes will make it very clear just how simple it is to feed a dog or several dogs with good food, made fresh every other day.

Fresh, holistic dog food doesn't have to be fancy or difficult. It just has to be made from fresh ingredients, served immediately, and kept for no more than three days in the refrigerator. Dogs don't usually like cold food, so when serving their dinner, leave the dish out till it can be served at room temperature.

Healthy Fresh Snacks for Dogs

Fresh carrots or apples are great snacks for dogs who enjoy crunchy tidbits. For dogs who prefer their biscuits with a little peanut flavored crunch, try making snacks at home with the following simple recipe.

Easy Peanut Butter Dog Biscuit Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

  • 1 cup water
  • 1-1/4 cup white flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Thank you for the recipes.
MY dog, Monty, loves to start his morning with a bowl of grits and maple bacon. Grits are flavored with chicken broth and a little margarine.

Vicki F. Chavis :
While tomatoes and onions are better left out of a dog's bowl, please double check with your local vet or ask your questions here:
